Our Philosophy
Starting a business should be simple. Not easy, but simple.
When I started working for myself, I discovered how overwhelming it can be. Not the work itself, but everything around it: keeping track of receipts, VAT returns, invoices, administration. I spent more time on paperwork than on what I actually wanted to do.
And then the loneliness. After years of working in large teams, I was suddenly sitting alone behind my laptop. No colleagues to bounce ideas off. No coffee breaks. No one who understands what you're going through.
ZZP Pulse was born from that experience. Not as "yet another accounting app", but as an attempt to make the entrepreneurial life a little less chaotic and a little less lonely.
Why ZZP?
The ZZP structure (Zelfstandige Zonder Personeel, or self-employed without personnel) through an eenmanszaak (sole proprietorship) is the most direct way to start working for yourself in the Netherlands. No shareholders, no meetings, no approvals needed. Just you and your idea.
Yes, it also means responsibility. You carry everything yourself. But that's exactly what makes it real. You're building something of your own, not for someone else.
I believe everyone with a good idea and the willingness to work hard should have the chance to work for themselves. Administrative hassle shouldn't be a barrier.
About Me
I'm Ilya.
For ten years, I helped companies navigate complex financial transactions. At KPMG and PwC, I led more than 80 due diligence projects: untangling financial data to find the truth behind mergers and acquisitions.
I'm building ZZP Pulse for the entrepreneur I was, and still am.
My Belief
Clarity creates space for creativity.
When your administration is in order, you don't have to think about it. Then you can put your energy into your clients, your growth, your ideas. That's what I want to offer: not another tool to learn, but a system that simply works. So you can focus on what you're good at.
The Vision: More Than An App
ZZP Pulse started as an administration app. But my ambition is bigger.

Because entrepreneurship doesn't have to be lonely. Along the way, I found an amazing group of entrepreneurs to exchange ideas with, and it changed everything. I want to make the same possible for others.
